Top Hair Colour Trends of 2017

I just love this year’s colours and styles. In Sydney in 2017, many of the existing trends are redone. Specific natural colours, an updated form of balayage and new versions of metallic hair colour are on trend. As a mobile hair and makeup Sydney stylist, I have found that balayage, colour melting, metallic and platinum shades are all flattering colour trends that will have you looking and feeling amazing.

Colour Melting

In using colour melting, a number of different tones in the same colour spectrum are seamlessly blended together to create amazing natural looking highlights.

Smokey Brunette Shades

A deep brunette shade is both flattering and popular in 2017. As a renowned mobile hair stylist Sydney area, I have found that this shade suits all skin tones and it does not compete with this year’s bright fashion colours.

Pale Blonde

Pale cool blonde tones are stunning. For a bright modern fresh look, I recommend adding some highlights around the face.

 Platinum Blondes

As a mobile hair stylist Sydney region I have found that any of the different shades of platinum blondes are creating a huge impact. These are striking, are always in vogue and will really make a statement.

Metallic Colour

I love the metallic shades that are out this year.Copper, golden, silver and bronzes are on trend. The Metallics are super shiny and create a striking high fashion look. Using quality products I will match the look with metallic makeup for a super stunning look.

I find it hard to believe, but Balayage has only been around since 2014. The look is more popular than ever and various forms are being created. Great for those who don’t want a lot of upkeep at the hairdressers.

Tiger Eye Balayage

Tiger eye Balayage is a beautiful combination of caramel highlights and deep brown lowlights.

This is a great look for brunettes.

Choppy Bob

A graduated bob cut with honey tones, caramel blondes and a mix of chocolate brown and blonde all look amazing on this cut.

 Long wavy hair

Subtle balayage lights added to long wavy hair create some texture. For a romantic look, I recommend adding some sea salt spray to make beachy waves.
